Tooth Fairy Time at Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry!
On select Thursday evenings, CVPD will host Tooth Fairy Time! Children of all ages, along with their families, are invited to attend these fun events to learn more about continuing a healthy dental lifestyle as well as exploring the Tooth Fairy booth & activities that we have on-site at CVPD. These events are open to the public, you do not need to be a patient at our office!
Please note all parents/or guardians must remain at Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry during the event.

Tooth Fairy Time Featuring Lively Hive
We are thrilled to welcome the staff from Lively Hive to Tooth Fairy Time.
Join us at CVPD on May 16 from 5:30-7pm to play with us! The staff from Lively Hive will set up engaging & crowd-favorite games and activities through stations that will focus on play, sensory, and motor skills at this month’s Tooth Fairy Time. The planned games and activities are geared mostly for ages 0-6, but all ages are always welcome, and the older kids can certainly help the younger friends/family members.

4/11/24 Dollars and Sense with Members 1st!
On April 11, families gathered at Members 1st Administrative Headquarters in Enola, Pennsylvania for “Dollars & Sense Tooth Fairy Time.” The event aimed to teach financial literacy to children in a fun and interactive way. Led by experts from Members 1st and Verber Dental Group, attendees explored stations focusing on saving, spending, and giving money wisely. The highlight was the Tooth Fairy’s special appearance, adding a touch of magic to the lessons on healthy financial habits. Families enjoyed an evening of learning and laughter, empowering them with essential financial skills.
3/7/24 Bingo at Search Dental!
Everyone had a great time at Search Dental playing this special ‘TOOTH’ BINGO game. The winners were treated to some super cool prizes that made their smiles even brighter!
2/22/24 Girl Scouts joined us at Tooth Fairy Time
While exploring the core values of Girl Scouts, boys & girls and their families participated in a craft, STEM, and Girl Scout & Tooth Fairy photo booth station. There was also Girl Scout cookies available to sample and order!

Cam from CAMtastic made us laugh every minute during this one-of-a-kind, fun magic show.
12/7/23 Cumberland OMT, Hot Cocoa and SANTA!
Everyone celebrated the spirit of the holidays at Tooth Fairy Time! We will had an ornament station led by the Tooth Fairy, delicious hot chocolate, photos with Santa, and fun games & activities to learn about OMT, Oral Myofunctional Therapy.
11/16/23 Concert with Laura Bieblen and her young musicians!
Good music, good friends, & good vibes. Together with Laura Bielen & her young musicians, we had our very first concert at Tooth Fairy Time! These talented musicians put on a musical performance that all ages enjoyed.
10/19/23 United Way of The Capital Region + Star Wars Friends!
Together with United Way of the Capital Region, we played Halloween/fall-themed games and activities together. Special Star Wars Guests made an appearance, too.

We were transported to “Carnival Island” where families engineered, built, and then played some STEAMtastic games together.

We sang songs, used puppets, tumbled, blew bubbles, and lots more with the staff from My Gym Mechanicsburg!
6/15/23 Youth Business Fair
Tooth Fairy Time held a Youth Business Fair brought to you by Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Members 1st. We believe that young entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation. A start up business shows dedication, perseverance, and a positive influence on others. While having fun, these young business leaders support healthy habits in all aspects of their lives and embody the prerequisites to developing financial responsibility.
5/11/23 PA Farms to Families Immersion Lab
This mobile lab, powered by GIANT, supported by the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation, allows families to learn about PA farms, discover environmental considerations to impact food production, experience riding on a tractor through a VR corn field, practice building a well-balanced meal with Pennsylvania-grown foods, and learn about the community it takes to bring food from the field to the plate for PA families.
4/13/23 Nutrition Fear Factor
Specialist and Sodexo Registered Dietician of West Shore School District, Michelle Martucci lead us in a discussion of a wide variety of foods, even the most interesting ones! Learning about balanced nutrition as part of a healthy lifestyle is important, too.
3/9/23 My Gym- Mechanicsburg at Tooth Fairy Time
The emphasis was on teamwork, sharing, taking turns, and building relationships. Singing songs, using puppets, tumbling, and playing games were just a few of the activities at Tooth Fairy Time.

1/19/23 Scouts BSA: Exploring Movement with Things in Our Environment
CVPD welcomed Scouts BSA to our office on Thursday, January 19 from 5:30-7pm to learn about how energy can make objects move. Kids got to participate in making a train reaction and build a catapult to launch marshmallows.

Everyone got to check out the coolest toys this Christmas. Featured by Snazzy Giraffe, a local children’s boutique, many toys were on display and available for purchase. Our very own Tooth Fairy prepared holiday-themed Lego stations where kids got to build their own elf, penguin, holiday toy, ornament, and cookie.
Local Hygienist at Tooth Fairy Time, 11/10/22
Miss Donna, a local dental hygienist explained the importance of caring for our teeth using puppets, Strepto and Silly. The kids got a chance to brush and floss a large set of teeth and learn how to keep Strepto and Silly from getting into mischief.

Challenge Island Central PA guided kids and their families through a hands-on activity to learn all about how to make toothpaste and how to market it to “sell” to the dentists at Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry!
VanGo Museum on Wheels, 8/11/22:
The VanGo Museum on Wheels joined us at CVPD for Tooth Fairy Time. This museum on wheels is a 34-foot-long, custom vehicle equipped with an onboard museum gallery. Everyone got a tour of a contemporary art exhibition inspired by nature and several interactive stations inspired by art history.
Christmas in July Chalk Drawing Event, 7/14/22:
We enjoyed Tooth Fairy Time OUTSIDE at CVPD. The kids learned how to draw CVPD’s Tooth Fairy logo with chalk while listening to Christmas/holiday music.
CVPD and Simpson Public Library 6/2/22:
Miss Danette from the Simpson Public Library and the Tooth Fairy introduced kids to the library’s upcoming summer reading program: “Oceans of Possibilities”. We had a fun night of reading & crafting.
CVPD and Challenge Island STEAM Workshop 5/19/22:
Challenge Island, Central PA came for some Tooth Fairy Time! Visit “Loose Tooth Turnaround” on Cool Careers Island where the kids will explore all about the awesome career of a dentist through STEAM activities. Kids got to use their own dentist mirror to put imaginary patients’ teeth!
CVPD and Whitaker Center STEAM Event 4/ 28/22:
Whitaker on Wheels came to Cumberland Valley Pediatric Dentistry for Tooth Fairy Time. They brought their favorite activities for kids of all ages that will innovate and educate in different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ARTS, and Math) concepts.
The Oakes Museum of Natural History Present: “Teeth Structure & Skulls” 3/24/22
We learned about the teeth structure of North American mammals followed by some observation of cool mammal skulls, furs, and teeth.
Valentine’s Day STEAM Event 2/10/22
The Tooth Fairy herself shared some awesome activities for kids of all ages that innovated and educated in different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, ARTS, and Math) concepts.
Knock Out Tooth Decay with West Shore Martial Arts event was held on 1/13/22
We “Knocked OUT Tooth Decay” with West Shore Academy of Martial Arts. This event included a demonstration of beginner martial arts moves from an academy instructor while learning about ways to remove plaque and keep teeth healthy and clean! Our very own Tooth Fairy will be perfecting her martial arts moves, too.
Holiday STEM Event held on December 9th, 2021
Partnered with the Simpson Public Library, two hands-on projects were held that sparked kids ingenuity and creativity. We also drew fun prizes in a raffle, and EVERYONE took home a holiday-themed giveaway.
Turkey Time Event held on November 18th, 2021
Special guest & local artist Kelly Verber demonstrated how to draw a turkey using chalk! A chalk-themed raffle was held as well.
~S P O O K Y~ edition of Tooth Fairy Tuesday held on October 12th 2021
Kids came dressed in their Halloween costumes or dressed up in our Tooth Fairy costumes. We read a story about Halloween, “dress up” a tooth as a group, and then children, along with their parents completed a “Dress up the Tooth” activity on their own.
The first Tooth Fairy Tuesday was held on September 14th, 2021:
Dynamic storyteller Richard Skaare read his book: “Heronymus Heron Discovers His Shadow”.
As he presented the book, Richard taught the children many valuable lessons. One lesson focused on encouraging children to celebrate what makes them unique, treasure their relationships, and value differences. Richard also described the steps on how to create their own book! Children, along with their families, created stories while incorporating topics of their own, dental health, or the magic of the Tooth Fairy.
